You can substitute it with two zero (0) EXCEPT when sending fax to Singapore.
Due to some historical reason, you need to use 02 instead of 00.
For example if a Singapore fax number looks like 65-6578-9090
Outside Malaysia: dial 00-65-6578-9090
Inside Malaysia (using fixed line): dial 02-6578-9090
Cute :)

I was following the case at WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center between Google and a domain name owner. This interesting case was finally over with Google wins the disputed domain names ‘googlenetbiz.com’!

Looks Google has included the email they have received from the previous domain name offer in their affidavit

I will sell my Domain

googlenetbiz.com

for $50000 Only,

Do you Buy it.

According to Google, this is “Thus, the Respondent has offered to sell the disputed domain name for “valuable consideration” in excess of his reasonable out-of pocket costs, which is prima facie evidence of bad faith. Although the Respondent has indeed offered to sell the disputed domain name to the Center and not to the Complainant itself or to a competitor of the Complainant, this fact is and of itself is not germane to the finding of bad faith. As noted above, the circumstances set out in paragraph 4(b) of the Policy, in particular, the subparagraph cited above are not exclusive. The fact that the Respondent has offered to sell the domain name (albeit to the Center and not to the Complainant or to a competitor of the Complainant) is evidence of bad faith.”

Extracted from Escrow-Fraud.com Forum.

From advertising in mudah.com.my, I contact a person named Luca Mariaci through web contact template for her Mercedes Benz E240. I ask her to reply me to my email. A day later, she email me, and she explain that she wanna sell her husband’s car which bought from Malaysia when her husband working in Malaysia. Now, her husband is working in UK, and she is staying at her hometown in Italy. The car is in Italy, and she emails me all the cars picture.

After that, she try to convince me by saying that the car have all the documentation of JPJ (road transport department document) and PUSPAKOM certificate (standard procedure for change of owner in Malaysia : computerized vehicle check up). I’m surprised that A WOMAN in Italy can know deeply about all the procedure to sell cars in Malaysia. wow.. She says if I’m interested, we can begin the transaction using escrow services for safety reason. I don’t feels good, so i try to trace Luca Mariaci’s email but fail because she’s using gmail account. I fail to get her location so, in my next email, i asked her to check my company website (local website, frequently accessed by the Malaysian only) with reason maybe she can find something interesting there.

Luckily, she do open the web and later i can trace several access from outside, which is very unusual from my server logs:

72.30.79.26 United States California Sunnyvale Inktomi Corporation
81.90.1.163 Russian Federation – - Network For Infrastructure Of Netlline Ltd
38.99.13.116 United States California San Francisco Performance Systems International Inc

Then, she asked me my contact details, and after its given, she tell me that she will submit my name to the escrow company services. After that, less than 6 hours i get an email from ittoptran.com, telling me that a Merc Benz had been registered to send by air on my name. Now, i believe that this transaction is 95% fraud.

I do open the http://ittoptran.com, the web looks perfect just like a professional courier company. However, i fail to open http://www.ittoptran.com, only http://ittoptran.com can be accessed. Feeling something is wrong, i do check the name “ittoptran” and finally found that the name is “blacklisted” or “suspected” fraud. hehehe..

Types of Company/Organisation Requirement for internship program of University Malaya:

5.4e The organisation/company MUST offer formal working hour and office environment. Night working, teleworking, virtual office etc. are NOT allowed.

Apparently, this has became an issues who those who apply for internship training in our company. Yet, it is even more Complicated (if I am to borrow the word from Facebook) after they have consulted their lecturer…

“MUST” – It is just an office cubicle and it this really matter? Well, the most you can learn out of this limited space are: Bosses occupy the largest room doing the least work; Students sitting like Sardine with the oldest machines in the office.

“formal working hour and office environment” – Your colleague will show you what is so-called ‘formal’ by coming late and back home earlier. Your bosses? Hmm, you probably meet them once a while if you are lucky. The office environment? Make sure you have a office-politic survival kit with you all the time.

“Night working” – Smart you, lecturers. The Night working only sounds that your students are kind of working at those kinky night club. If not, what else?

“virtual office” – Ah Huat Restaurant needs an address because they have walk-in customers. For those without walk-in, is the office address really matters to your customers? I don’t print my address on my namecard because what my customers looking for are good services and support, they don’t care if I am operating from Pandora.

“Note that .my DOMAIN REGISTRY stipulates the need for Administrative Contact, Billing Contact and Technical Contact. For details on job responsiblity, go to the .my DOMAIN REGISTRY FAQ. However, in the case of personal domain name, the Registrant is the same as the Administrative Contact.”

I couldn’t find the job responsibility page. Anyway, to summarize

Admin Contact: Person who manage the name. This person is appointed by the owner of the domain name. In a way, this person take care of the ownership but do not own the domain name. Registrant owns the name.

Technical Contact: Person who manage the DNS servers associated with the domain name. This person should have control over the DNS servers and able to do changes to the pointing (editing the zonefile) on request.

Billing Contact: Responsible to bill and collect payment from the Registrant, or the owner of the domain name. Billing contact should remind registrant to renew a name.

–

I talked to MyNIC today. We discussed about the fact that most Admin Contact, as well as Billing and Technical Contacts do not really understand their scope of work.

Admin Contact for .com..my must be the employee of the Registrant. In most of the cases, the Admin Contact listed do not have control over the ownership. In short, the appointed Admin Contact has no ideas of how to safe guard the domain name.

For more domain name job responsibility discussion, please email pin@1.com.my

What is brand-jacking?

Fake Voice of Exxon Mobil Corp Still Tweeting

A recent case exemplifies what brand-jacking is and the inherent danger it presents: ExxonMobil was put on the defensive after a Twitter account surfaced acting as a voice for the oil and gas giant. The Twitter user, “Janet at ExxonMobil (ExxonMobilCorp)” used the popular — and public — short messaging service to address weighty issues facing ExxonMobil, from global warming to defenses of company reaction to the Exxon Valdez spill. At the time, Janet was an active voice, engaging users in dialogues, answering questions and even being picked up by industry bloggers as an example of a corporation taking an early step towards adopting a new technology.

The problem was “Janet” was not an employee at ExxonMobil. ExxonMobil had been brand-jacked. Exxon acted quickly to discuss the case with the media, but damage to the ExxonMobil brand had already been done: off-brand messages and opinions — completely out of the control of corporate stakeholders — were being picked up by a global community.

One of the reasons the false Exxon Mobil Twitter account was so problematic was that it followed other brands’ adoption of Twitter, like Southwest Airlines and Comcast, whose activities captured the attention of mainstream media, such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post. Thus, it seemed reasonable that Janet at ExxonMobil was an actual voice of the company, rather than someone taking advantage of an industry trend that Exxon Mobil had overlooked.

Extracts from http://www.imediaconnection.com/content/21110.imc

The real identity of Janet of ExxonMobilCorp is revealed. The person DOES NOT represent Exxon Mobil Corporation. In other words, the person is a fake. Read more here.

Many business owners choose to focus in marketing when their businesses are poor. They thought those marketing effort can boost their business and believe that it can reach out more potential customers. While they are busy with their marketing activities, they often miss out one very important thing:

Product Improvement

The worse thing is, they often see some improvement after doing the marketing. So, they continue doing their marketing but only to find out their business stop growing.

Why?

The fundamental of the business is to fulfill the need of your customers. Always make sure your products or services are right before engaging yourself in the marketing.

Do not skip market study.

“Keep asking! Every time you ask someone, it brings you a step closer to the right person who can tell you exactly what they want,” said Pearly, the veteran in corporate world, now the owner of My Island Penang
.
