At first glance, this is really a good work :-) Can I promote it on my site for my readers?
Waiting for your review, Ricky :)
@pin. its a good read man! light enough that you wont feel like its a textbook but informative enough to help alot! good one
Sorry Pin. I don’t think I can do a “review” on it as promised due to time constraint. So sorry I have to break my promise now.
Anyway, at first glance I thought it was a new book. But later found that it’s a collection of your blog posts. Good idea to collate your posts into a book!
On side note just share with you something. Some years ago, a friend attended a workshop something like “Book Writing” workshop and shared the knowledge with me (together we paid for it), where they taught us to start writing and finish a book, even if we are not an author. At that time blogging was not popular yet (if blog existed at all). We had been thinking of what to put down to write a book. I think the workshop is still around now.
Now the landscape has changed. Many people and friends are bloggers. Many people are writing. Perhaps one day all of us are authors and publishers now. Blogs have changed all these.
And I guess those who have the content, ideas, style, coupled with right strategy and marketing, will succeed in turning blog posts into a real book. I believe you are an upcoming one.
May success be on to you! :-)
Thanks Ricky. Posting on Blog is like a process of writing a book. It replaced the notes and add features like discussion and easy to update/present. I am now preparing the manuscript and will send for publishing soon. Any ideas for cover and book title?
I dont think how to start sounds good. Well, I cant tell someone how to start, but is only sharing my experience. All business are not the same. I prefer to call the book, like ‘Cooking Stone Soup’… heheh
