10,000 residents take C to B now because A to B was closed for ‘study’.
If you read today’s paper, you will notice the news of closing the tunnel of Taman Emas, Kelana Jaya, the shortcut between Subang Airport Road and LDP. This could be just another news for you, but a real pain to the people staying there – I’m so happen to be one of them.
The tunnel closed for a month, from 1st to 30 September 2008. Alternate road takes extra 3.5km though a winding and small road with at least 5 road bumps. The notice board from Datuk Bandar says it was closed for study.
I’m not sure what kind of study they are doing, but I’m sure it is burning RM7k of Petrol a day, with over 10,000 residents affected, taking a RM0.20 per km rate. Not including the the time spent…
Latest update: 10 September 2008 8.00pm

A lorry crashed into the pole just now, blocking the whole road, the only road – after the closing of another tunnel. Worth mentioning, I saw lot of Malaysians there just now, not Malay, Chinese or Indian!
Are you affected, post your comment here. Let’s give our Datuk Bandar a more realistic studies which costs them free!
I know! I know! So troublesome. Will they conduct a study regarding how people are affected by the tunnel closure each day then? They’re being so inconsiderate!
Ammie
Let’s gather feedback here and post it to them.
really a wasted of natural resources… If human can be less self fish, and not so calculative… it will save the world
@iCalvyn, too bad I hurt my back, or I would cycle to office this month.
Not to mention having to detour now, from LDP to Federal Highway to Subang Airport just to get home in order to avoid the jam at the FAS tunnel. That’s an extra 5km or more each day. I am already on LDP, but I’ve to take a huge round just to avoid that place. So annoying and inconsiderate. Definitely LACK COMMON SENSE in this study.
This is what happens when the municipal has their heads up their own asses…bodoh betul… imagine puasa month like this… normal days will only get worse! Just to keep a few people staying in Taman Emas happy 10k people have to suffer for their benefit.
I actually think with both tunnels opened it actually eliminated a lot of congestion. How stupid can this people be that they can’t see that.
Taman Emas people never go NZX? Are they ‘happy’ with the detour?
