What is business Blog? Usually, it refers to the second website after the main official website of a business. Perhaps, Iit is a hard decision to replace official website with a Blog. Therefore, setting the business Blog sounds like more tolerate and ‘unofficial’ alternative.
Just look at Stemlife & Stemlife Blog or Malaysia Airlines and its Malaysia Airlines Blog, this growing trend means you will see more business owner adding Blog to their main menu in the website.
Google treat everyone as personal. That is why you are not asked to enter your company information. See, one can work for more than one company, or even own a few companies. How many times you are asked to answer your income range or your age or your area of interest in those drop down forms? It is, in another words of saying – your age and income will never change. Or, what is the point of asking?
Well, behind business Blog, I’m sure you can find someone, or a group of people who is managing it. They are real people and the business Blog is actually personal to them, so as the official website :)

Just to share, Zaileen. The current MH Blog domain is carring the word ‘Malaysiaairlines’. This eventually limits the scope of what a Blog can cover.
The potential of Blog is huge. Your initial of setting up MH Blog to share user experience & flying stories may one day, extended to become an important marketing tools.
When it happens, you would probably want a more general name such as wheretofly.com. It reaches visitors not yet a MH customer. It need not to carry the word Blog, as Blog is website, vice versa.
It would be good to start it now, than later. Start building the value to this new & generic name. Another reason, one day – corporate website is going to be replaced by Blog. When it comes, it will become a better place to collect and share user experience.
In short:
malaysiaairlines.com – User experience, stories, flight info, etc
wheretofly.com (or any other name) – Marketing tools, represent your industries, encourage more discussion because it is more ‘neutral’, target international travellers, etc
