Pizza for 2.6 million dollars

The domain pizza.com was acquired by an annonymous bidder for 2.6 million dollars after 14 years. The owner, Chris Clark bought the name pizza.com in 1994, never thought that this can fetch to such a higher price, after he saw an opportunity of the acquisition for vodka.com!

  1. While ROIs like these are great… they’re also the prime reason why it’s breeding a whole new segment of domain squatters who do squat (pun intended) with the domains and denying a lot of opportunities for valid businesses. Even finding a valid domain name is a hassle nowadays.

    However, having said that – this is how the free market works, and we just gotta dig our brains harder and get creative names!
