Was working on our travel guide business and Weikiat told me a about this… Apparently, the main page of WikiTravel Chinese version was hacked.

Oh.. so cham! Looks like they have to upgrade their security features.. hmm.. by the way, isn’t wiki and all their wiki related projects are actually FOC for users? I wonder how do they survive on just donations from users? Especially like now when they need better security resources considering hosting, backend technicalities and stuff o_O

It’s not a question of “hacking”, anybody can edit the Chinese version (or any other version) by just clicking the 编辑 button. Some random anonymous user inserted some garbage, and the next user who came along hit the “undo” button and removed it. That’s the way wikis work!
